"Creative Crash Course" with The Hartt School Community Division

Join us for a fun-filled, jam-packed week of artistic exploration and creation! This Creative Crash Course offers students entering grades 4 through 7 the opportunity to spend a week immersed in the performing arts! Students jam in the upcycled bucket band, find their groove with hip-hop dance, emerge as singer song writers, transform the recorder, sing together, meet the hidden stars of the orchestra, and kick back with the ukulele. No prior experience required! Come as you are, we provide the necessary instruments and materials for this inspiring week of creation.
 
Faculty and staff for the program are drawn from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School Community Division.

 
General Information




  • Participants should be entering grades 4 through 7 in the fall of 2017


  • No prior experience necessary


  • Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring a pair of clean socks


  • Students should bring 2 snacks, lunch and a water bottle to camp


  • Students will meet daily at The Hartt School Community Division Simsmore Square location, 540 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury CT 06070.


  • This program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., students should be dropped off no earlier than 8:45am and must be picked up by 4:15pm
